The Microbiological Diagnostic Unit (MDU) of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at The University of Melbourne has a laboratory onsite at MSHC.

 

• Some bacterial infections can be diagnosed on the day of your visit at the MSHC laboratory.
• Specimens are coded - client names are not used for testing.
• Serology testing is done off-site at the Victorian Infectious Diseases Reference Laboratory (VIDRL)
