Men who have sex with men have been disproportionately affected by gonorrhoea; however, there has been an increase in infections among heterosexual individuals in Victoria.1
This sharp increase in gonorrhoea cases are in Melbourne's outer suburbs of Melton, Casey and Brimbank.
One of our approaches to addressing this epidemic is the Victorian Sexual Health Network which seeks to increase access to testing and treatment at our partner GP clinics.
