Body image may be related to sexual health outcomes, but this is an understudied area, particularly among transgender and gender diverse individuals. The aims of this study are to explore these associations to increase our understanding and inform future interventions.

This survey was designed with community engagement from focus groups with transgender and gender diverse participants to ensure questions are relevant and sensitive. The aims of this study are to explore these associations to increase our understanding and inform future interventions.

This is an anonymous, online survey. It may take 20 minutes to complete. You have the option to enter your details (which will not be linked to your responses) to enter a draw to win a $50 voucher.  1 in 25 will win.

This survey was designed for people of:

  • All gender identities
  • All sexual identities
  • Anyone aged 18 or older
     

All research in Australia involving humans is reviewed by an independent group of people called a Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC).  The ethical aspects of this research project have been approved by the Alfred Hospital HREC.

This project will be carried out according to the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007). This statement has been developed to protect the interests of people who agree to participate in human research studies. Approval has been given by the Alfred Hospital HREC which reviews ethics applications for research carried out at the Melbourne Sexual Health Centre.
